Dr. Safina Dhanji, DMD

Certified Specialist in Pediatric Dentistry

Dr. Safina Dhanji grew up in Markham, Ontario and received her undergraduate degree at the University of Western Ontario, where she earned a bachelor’s degree with honours in Biomedical Sciences. She then went on to complete her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree at Boston University with the highest distinction and awards. Most notably, the Spencer N. Frankl Award, and the Boston University Award for Pediatric Dentistry. She was also inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) National Dental Honors Society.

Upon completion of her dental school training, Dr. Dhanji continued her training at Boston University to earn her specialty degree in Paediatric Dentistry. During her postdoctoral training, she worked at Franciscan Children’s Hospital and Boston Medical Center treating children with extensive dental needs and various special needs. She then returned to Toronto and is currently practicing at Dentistry 4 Kids in Ajax, Ontario and Woodbridge, Ontario. Dr. Dhanji also practices in Orillia and Midland at Wyandotte Dental Center and Georgian Bay General Hospital respectively. Dr. Safina Dhanji is the principal dentist at Dentistry 4 Kids - Woodbridge in Woodbridge, Ontario.

 Dr. Dhanji wholeheartedly believes in community service as her family is actively involved in local and global initiatives to improve access to and standard of dental care. She has participated in dental service trips to Tanzania through the Aga Khan Health Services & the Abulcasis Dental Alliance. Her practice philosophy includes taking extra time to get to know each and every one of her patients and making each experience a fun and positive one. During her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends and cooking!



Dr. Shelina Dhanji, DDS

Certified Specialist in Pediatric Dentistry

Dr. Shelina Dhanji emigrated from Uganda as a refugee in 1973. She grew up in Toronto, Ontario and received her undergraduate degree at the University of Toronto, where she earned a bachelor’s degree with honours in Biomedical Sciences. She then went on to complete her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree at University of Detroit Michigan with honors and awards.

Dr. Dhanji then continued her training at Medical University of South Carolina where she specialized in Paediatric Dentistry. Dr. Dhanji is the sole owner of Dentistry 4 Kids - Ajax, a pediatric dental practice located in Ajax, Ontario since 1999. This practice has six certified pediatric dentists, an orthodontist, a general dentist and a medical anesthesiologist as providers. Dr. Dhanji has also been part of the dental team at The Scarborough Health Network, which includes the Centenary, Birchmount and General hospitals, since 1992. She is also has hospital privileges at Georgian Bay Hospital in Midland, Ontario. Dr. Dhanji also has a passion for teaching and has been a clinical instructor at University of Toronto and has instructed classes in undergraduate clinical pediatric dentistry as well as the graduate residents at the Surgicenter at University of Toronto. 

Growing up as a refugee, Dr. Dhanji has a passion for serviced in underprivileged parts of the world. She has been recognized for her efforts to improve and educate individuals on oral health. She is a member of the Abulcasis Dental Alliance, which allows her to travel to all parts of the world and aid with the development of oral health care clinics, most notably in Northern Pakistan, Tanzania and Tajikistan. Being an avid traveller, Dr. Dhanji has also lectured undergraduate and graduate students on various topics in Paediatric Dentistry at the Aga Khan University in Karachi, Pakistan. When she is not practicing dentistry, Dr. Dhanji enjoys cooking and spending time with her family which includes her husband, and her three daughters. 



Dr. Elise Vincelette, DMD

Certified Specialist in Orthodontics

Dr. Vincelette grew up in Essex Junction, Vermont and received her undergraduate degree from the University of Vermont, where she earned her Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Biology and graduated magna cum laude. She went on to complete her Doctorate of Dental Medicine degree from the prestigious University of Pennsylvania, where she graduated top of her class and earned the excellence in oral medicine award. Dr. Vincelette then completed her specialty training in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at Boston University, where she and Dr. Samra first met!

With her mother as a dental hygienist, Dr. Vincelette grew up in a dental office and knew from a young age she would somehow end up in the dental field. After her own orthodontic treatment as a teen, she experienced just how life-changing a great smile could be and knew her calling. To this day Dr. Vincelette still remembers the feeling of getting her braces off, and strives to create the same amazing experience for her patients that she had!

Dr. Vincelette is dual-board certified in Canada through the Royal College of Dentists as well as a diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. She was nominated by her peers as a top Dentist in Boston 4 years in a row, and for the last seven years was the team orthodontist for the Boston Celtics! Dr. Vincelette is a member of the Ontario Dentists Association, Ontario Association of Orthodontists and the American Association of Orthodontists.

In her spare time, Dr. Vincelette loves to travel and go for long walks around the city discovering new places to eat. She is also a classically trained violinist and violist since the age of 8, and has won numerous international competitions and even played at Carnegie Hall!


Dr. Raman Samra, DMD

Certified Specialist in Orthodontics

Dr. Samra grew up in Markham, Ontario and received his undergraduate degree at York University. After graduating, he moved to Boston and earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine, magna cum laude, from Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. He continued at Boston University and went on to complete his Masters of Science in Dentistry and CAGS in Orthodontics.

Dr. Samra brings a unique combination of technical skills, excellent patient interaction, plus enthusiasm and dedication to the profession, patients and community.

Dr. Samra served as an Orthodontic Resident at Boston’s Franciscan Hospital for Children and performed general dentistry at Brockton Community Health Center. In 2015, he joined a 10-day mission to Panama where he provided dental restorations and oral health education for underserved children.

He is dual board certified in Canada through the Royal College of Dentists as well as a diplomate of the American board of Orthodontics. Through the nomination of his peers, he has been voted a Top Dentist in Boston for multiple years. He is a member of the Ontario Dentist’s Association, Ontario Association of Orthodontists and the American Association of Orthodontists. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, exploring new restaurants, and playing and watching basketball.


Dr. Rob Milkovich, MD

Surgiservices - Medical Anesthetist

Dr. Rob Milkovich graduated from the University of Toronto medical school in 1995 and completed his residency in Family Medicine with further training in anesthesia at Queen’s University in Kingston in 1998.  After initially practicing Emergency Medicine for 10 years he had been practicing anesthesia in Orangeville Ontario at Headwaters Healthcare Centre since 1998.  He has a special interest in out of hospital anesthesia and currently sits on the Standards Committee for the Canadian Anesthesia Society as well as an Anesthesia Assessor for the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.


Dr. Zig Wojtasik, MD

Surgiservices – Medical Anesthetist

Dr. Zbigniew Wojtasik (aka ‘Zig’) is the founder of Surgiservices. He obtained his certificate of specialization in anaesthesiology  from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in 1988 and is Anesthesia Director for the Bariatric Surgery Program at DMSU and Anesthesia Director for The Plastic Surgery Clinic.


Dr. Matt Kurrek, MD

Surgiservices - Medical Anesthetist

Dr. Matt Kurrek received his anesthesia training in Boston before moving to Canada where he is a Professor of Anesthesia at the University of Toronto. His clinical work includes regular work in out-of-hospital premises for adult and pediatric patients.


Dr. Kenji Miyata, MD, PhD

Surgiservices - Medical Anesthetist

Dr. Kenji Miyata, who also holds a PhD, is a member of the College of Family Physicians of Canada and did further training in anesthesia. Dr. Miyata is a member of the Canadian Anesthesiologists’ Society and has been practicing anesthesia since 2006. He is currently an active staff member and the former Chief of the Department of Anesthesia at the Headwaters Health Care Centre in Orangeville.
